Pandemic is affecting all businesses and real estate, all around the world. Ontario COVID-19 restrictions for modified step 2 starting January 5th, 2022! The Ontario government announced more COVID-19 restrictions on Monday due to the rapid spread of the Omicron.

In addition, there is a list of all the new restrictions, which will come into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 5. For example, Social gathering limits reduced to five people indoors and 10 people outdoors. Also, Businesses and organizations will need to ensure employees work remotely unless the nature of their work requires them to be on-site. Additionally, they reduced capacity limits. These limits and new rules affect showings and realtors as well.

The Ontario Government announced in-person open houses will again be temporarily banned. This will remain in place until at least January 26, 2022.

Showings are acceptable only with appointments and open houses are canceled for further notice. On one hand, we are working with property owners who would like to sell their properties. On the other hand, we are working with many buyers and investors. As a realtor, we should put everybody’s safety at the first step. Then, we can have showings and make win-win transactions.
